Unveiling the Secrets: How to Attract High-Spending Advertisers to Your Website

Ever feel like your website deserves to be a goldmine for AdSense? You're not wrong. While there's no magic formula to guarantee sky-high CPC, there are strategic moves you can make to transform your website into a premium destination for high-value advertisers. Here's how to craft content that captivates, cultivate a loyal audience, and ultimately, command top dollar for your ad space.

Become a Content Powerhouse: Niche Expertise is Your Niche

In the competitive world of online advertising, relevance reigns supreme. Move over, generic content. Instead, carve out a well-defined niche and establish yourself as an authority. This allows you to attract a targeted audience genuinely interested in the topics you cover. For advertisers, this translates to a laser-focused group more likely to click on relevant ads, increasing your CPC potential.

Invest in Quality: Content is Your Castle

Imagine a magnificent castle – that's the kind of content you want to create.  Invest in in-depth research, well-structured writing, and visually appealing presentations. Think data-driven insights, engaging infographics, and high-quality videos. Remember, exceptional content fosters trust and engagement, making your website a coveted space for premium advertisers seeking an audience primed for action.

Prioritize User Experience: Your Loyal Subjects

Your website should be a user-friendly kingdom. Prioritize clear navigation, fast loading times, and a mobile-responsive design. A positive user experience keeps visitors engaged and coming back for more. Happy users translate to more ad impressions, potentially leading to higher click-through rates and attracting advertisers willing to pay more to reach this loyal audience.

SEO: Your Royal Banner, Flying High

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is your way to wave your flag to the digital world. Implement targeted keywords, optimize page titles and meta descriptions, and build high-quality backlinks. The higher your website ranks in search results, the more organic traffic you'll attract. This larger, relevant audience makes your website even more valuable to advertisers seeking a wider reach.

Embrace Data: Your Royal Spymaster

Don't be afraid to delve into your website's analytics – it's your treasure trove of data! Track user behavior, analyze click-through rates on different ad placements, and identify high-performing content.  Use these insights to refine your strategy. Experiment with ad formats, optimize content based on audience preferences, and adapt to what works best.

Expand Your Influence: Become a Social Media Monarch

Social media is your royal court – a vibrant space to connect with your audience. Share your content, engage in discussions, and build a community around your niche. A strong social media presence increases brand awareness and positions you as a thought leader. This influence attracts advertisers seeking to leverage your audience for their campaigns, potentially boosting your CPC.

The Takeaway: A Kingdom Fit for High-Value Advertisers

By following these strategies, you can transform your website from a modest online space to a kingdom fit for premium advertisers. Remember, high-value advertising isn't just about ad size – it's about creating a website that resonates with a targeted audience, fosters trust, and delivers exceptional value. By becoming a content powerhouse and cultivating a loyal following, you'll not only attract high-quality visitors but also entice advertisers willing to pay a premium to reach them. So, unleash your inner content king/queen, and watch your click-through rates – and your AdSense earnings – soar.

$55 - AdSense & Double 6/3

The Duke of Sussex was granted permission to appeal this week following a February ruling over his safety in the UK.

Speaking to GB News, Mr Levin slammed the royal family's "arrogance" during the legal battle, with Harry allegedly trying to "jump ahead" to speed up the appeal hearing.

Judge Bean told the prince that "his position gives him no right to skip a turn."

Regarding reports that the request to expedite the appeal hearing was due to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's "planned world tour," Levin said Prince Harry is "not well enough to go ahead of everyone else in the VIP group."

She claimed it was "arrogant" for Prince Harry to "travel around the world on taxpayers' money".

She added: "I think if we went around the world on taxpayer money, this country would go completely crazy."

Sharing his speculations about locations on their reported world tour, Levin claimed the couple may be spending a lot of time in "Africa" following the success of their visit to Nigeria.

Writing E2E tests with Cypress

In the previous post, What Should I Test in the Frontend?, I focused on unit and integration testing in the frontend. In this post, I will learn about another type of frontend testing, E2E testing, and use Cypress, an E2E testing tool, to create an E2E test for my ongoing side project, and through this I will also cover how to create an E2E test.

1. Why do we need to do E2E testing?

E2E (End-to-End) testing verifies the flow of an application from start to finish, and has a different meaning from the unit testing and integration testing mentioned above. Unit testing and integration testing verify that the developed modules are working properly from the developer's perspective, but E2E testing verifies the operation of the application from the user's perspective. Therefore, E2E testing is mainly performed in a browser environment where real users use the application, and most E2E testing tools provide the ability to view the testing process in snapshots or videos.

The advantage of E2E testing is that it can be carried out in a real user environment, but at the same time, it is also a disadvantage. This makes E2E testing heavy and requires the entire application to be put into a real environment, which means that the overhead is very large. Therefore, E2E testing should only be used to verify the main usage flow of users or to verify the integration between modules, and each module should be verified to work properly with unit tests or integration tests.

However, in the frontend, UI and logic are combined, and the inverted pyramid testing (ice cream cone) anti-pattern often occurs, where many tests are created in E2E tests. Because E2E tests take a long time to run and are difficult to manage, you should create independent tests for each component using a library such as @testing-library. For information on how to create independent tests, please refer to the article What should the frontend test?

Although it has its shortcomings, E2E testing is the only type of testing that can ensure that the modules created by developers are integrated and work properly when used by users at the application level. Therefore, E2E testing is also very important.

In my opinion, there are two cases where E2E tests are very useful. The first is to ensure that the user's main path works properly from a business perspective. The second is when applying ATDD (Acceptance Test Driven Development). If some modules are not working properly, but the user's main path works properly, it may not be a critical issue from a business perspective. But if the main path does not work properly, this may become a very big problem. When writing these tests, E2E tests are very suitable

I also believe that Acquisition Test Driven Development (ATDD) is a very suitable method for teams that develop in an agile manner with iterative cycles on a user story basis. ATDD can be very attractive because it can lead to deeper discussions about the development end product among stakeholders and clearly define the development end. In fact, the reason I introduced Cypress-based E2E testing to this side project is to try applying ATDD to the next project.

Why Cypress?

Cypress is a popular E2E testing tool. Cypress is often compared to Selenium, but the main difference between these two is in their architecture: Selenium runs outside the browser and executes commands remotely over the network, while Cypress executes commands in the run loop of your application, etc. Therefore, Selenium can be written without being tied to a specific programming language, but it is slower and requires additional configuration of language-appropriate modules. On the other hand, Cypress can only be written in JavaScript, but it is faster and more integrative. Therefore, if you are developing an application with a JavaScript-based framework, you can use Cypress to quickly apply E2E testing.

2.1 Page Object Model vs. Application Working Model

As mentioned before, E2E tests are more difficult to maintain than other tests, so we often apply techniques to make this easier. In Selenium, we often use a technique called the "Page Object Model" for this. However, the Cypress community recommends using the "Application Working Model". What is the difference between the two?

 Page Object Model

The page object model creates an object for the page, and defines the page's elements and actions in corresponding objects. In other words, it creates an abstraction layer above the page that encapsulates the tasks related to the page. This way, it is more flexible when changes occur; for example, if an element's ID changes, you would typically have to modify all your tests, but with the page object model you can just find the element in the Page class and modify it.

In cypress you can create a page object model like this:

Although the PC market is increasingly being called a spec tax, many games and work programs still run on PCs.

So, it's true that tablets and other mobile devices have fallen a little short in catching up with the productivity of PCs.
In this series, we will explain to people with communication difficulties how to buy a cost-effective computer, whether it be a prefabricated PC, a laptop, a used PC, or a new PC.
1. Where will you use your computer?

Even so, you can buy a good product as long as you are not sure of what you will use it for.
From a usage perspective, think about what kind of work you will mainly use your computer for.
Please refer to the following example.
It's mainly for office use, and occasionally I play less demanding games like LOL.
I mainly play games that require some computer performance, such as Battlegrounds.
I mainly use Adobe programs such as Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
I need a lightweight office laptop that is easy to carry.

2. What is your budget for a computer?
While I wish everyone could buy a high-spec computer without any worries, most of us have to compromise with our budget.
The reason I set a budget is because I need to buy a computer that can maximize the performance of the main tasks I do within my limited budget. In other words, I need to maximize the cost-performance ratio.
To go a step further, I also need to consider whether I am utilizing just the computer itself, or whether I am utilizing all of the peripherals such as the monitor, speakers, headset, keyboard, mouse, etc.

Now, let's combine your budget with the uses for your computer that you thought of earlier. The following are just examples.
It is for business use and I play games that do not require high performance such as LOL. / 500,000 won
I mainly play games that require some computer performance, such as Battlegrounds. / 800,000-1.1 million won
Primarily uses Adobe programs such as Premiere Pro and Photoshop. / 900,000-1,000,000 won
I need a lightweight and portable office laptop / 600,000-800,000 won

3. What are the performance requirements of the programs I mainly use?
Even if you are not familiar with computers, you can easily find the
"(Program name) Recommended Specifications"
A search will give you a good idea of what level of performance your computer should have.

Let's look at the following example as an extension of the above example.
LOL recommended specifications
Battlegrounds Recommended Specifications
Premiere Pro recommended specifications
If you do a search, you'll probably come across a table like this:
CPU  AMD Ryzen 2600 or Intel Core i5-8500 or later
GPU  AMD Radeon RX570 or NVIDIA GTX1660 ti or higher
RAM  16GB or more
Storage space  : 100GB or more SSD or NVMe flash memory drive

The table above shows how much performance each part of your computer requires.
It's okay if you don't understand all the words above. You'll gradually understand them from now on. For now, you can just go ahead and think, "The computer I need to buy has roughly this much performance!"

In the next post, I'll look at which parts I should buy and whether they will give me the performance I want.
Thanks for reading this long article

Tips for buying a computer / Part 2. The role of each part

 Hello.

In the previous post, I considered my purpose and budget before buying a computer, and found the specifications of the computer I need. Now, let's take a quick look at what each part of the PC in the recommended specifications does.
(Please let me know that this post is written based on someone who knows nothing about computers.)
1. CPU? Graphics card? What is this?

CPU and graphics card? RAM? Naturally, it is likely that you have never heard these words before.
The parts that make up the computer we use are roughly as follows:
CPU
Graphics card (GPU)
RAM
Motherboard (motherboard)
HDD or SSD (secondary storage device)
Power supply (PSU)
To help you understand, think of a computer as a "company" and explain the parts of a computer in terms of it.

2. CPU
The CPU is the central processing unit of a computer. Simply put, it is like the president of a company.
In the same vein as the above analogy, good CPU performance means that your boss is smarter and better at his job, right?
CPU performance has a big impact on the overall performance of your PC.

3. Graphics Card (GPU)
A graphics card (GPU) is a device that specializes in processing graphics tasks on a computer.
If you listen to the above analogy, you can see that the staff in the company are good at counting money, but not good at other things.
No matter how smart the boss is, he can't do everything! Without such competent staff, the company (computer) will fall apart, right?
If the purpose of purchasing a computer is gaming, it is the equipment in which you invest the most money.
4. RAM
RAM is also called "primary memory device". From the moment the computer is turned on, the CPU mainly stores and uses the information it needs here.
For example, the president's secretary. If there are many secretaries and they are good at their work, the boss's efficiency will increase!
There is also something called VRAM! This is the dedicated RAM of the aforementioned graphics card.
For example, other temples under employees who often count money?
In general, the larger the capacity and speed of the RAM, the better the performance of the computer.
5. Motherboard
The motherboard is responsible for providing power to components such as the CPU, GPU, and RAM, making them work within a single system. All computer components are plugged into the motherboard.
For example, a company office. If the office is not comfortable, the president and staff will not be able to work well.
6. Power (PSU)
A power supply is a device that is responsible for providing power to a computer. If the power supply is not sturdy, computer components will not break and can be used for a long time.
Laptops usually depend on batteries and chargers instead of power sources.
For example, the food expenses of company employees. You can't make them work without giving them food!
Do you understand a little? Well, this is how you know roughly what each part does.
